Sean McAndrews

Director of Racquets

We are thrilled to welcome Sean McAndrews as the new Director of Racquets at Bellevue Golf Club. Sean brings a wealth of experience, strong leadership, and a true passion for racquet sports, and we are excited to have him join our community. We are confident that his knowledge and enthusiasm will be a tremendous asset to the Club.

Sean grew up on the island on Martha’s Vineyard where he first fell in love with the game of tennis in high school. Tennis became an addiction throughout high school and eventually led to something he enjoyed even more, which was sharing his passion for the game through coaching a few years after. Since then, Sean has spent over 10 years coaching the game to anyone who was willing to learn.

Sean spent the first 8 years with the Edgartown Yacht Club where he first started as a junior professional and a stringer. He continued throughout his time at the Yacht Club to grow the junior program and spent a lot of time on the hard courts with the kids teaching them technique, sportsmanship, and most importantly, how to have a great time playing the game he loved. It wasn’t long before he eventually became deeply rooted in both the adult program as well and started to run adult clinics and round robins. He then took that experience from the Yacht Club and joined Bass River Tennis Club where he has been a head tennis professional for the past 3 years.

His time at Bass River has been spent coaching adults and kids of all ages. He has plenty of experience in singles and doubles strategy with both kids and adults as well as creating different programs/offerings aside from the traditional team practices to keep the game fun and exciting.

The thing Sean enjoys the most about running tennis programs is the creativity, he is always thinking outside of the box of new ways to get people involved in the sport and drills to keep the game exciting.

When Sean is not on the tennis courts, he can be found fly fishing or playing golf as he enjoys his time the most when he is outside.

Sean welcomes all members to stop by the Tennis Pavilion to say hello, whether to talk tennis, pickleball, fishing, golf, or whatever the day brings!

We are excited to have Sean as part of our team and look forward to seeing the positive impact he will have on our Club’s racquet programs!

Please send Sean a note to welcome him to Bellevue at [email protected].
